Kochi: The Kerala High Court has ordered investigation into allegations of unauthorised access to the memory card containing assault clippings of the survivor in the Actor abuse case of 2017, media reports said.
The court ordered the investigation while hearing a prayer of the survivor who expressed fear that unauthorised access of the memory card could lead to proliferation of the objectionable content stored in the card affecting her privacy, the reports said.
The Court directed the District Judge to find out the veracity of the allegations in one month’s time. Change in hash value of the card was detected during a police investigation leading to forensic examination which upheld police claims.
Forensic department said that the card was accessed on January 9, and December 13 2018, and July 2021. Dileep, who is the eighth accused, opposed the investigation into it accusing the survivor of buying time to delay the case.
The abduction and sexual assault of actress took place on February, 17, 2017. Dileep was arrested on July 10, 2017, and was remanded by the court. After spending about three months behind the bars, he secured a bail from the High Court.
