Kochi: The police have registered two First Information Reports in the Sabarimala gold missing case.
Sponsor Unnikrishnan Potty is the main accused, media reports said.
According to sources, two separate FIRs have been registered.
The investigation will examine charges of unauthorised extraction, illegal transportation, and fraudulent transactions. The Kerala High Court had on Friday directed the state DGP to register a criminal case over gold missing from the temple.
The court decision was based on the findings of the Vigilance wing of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) managing the temple.
The probe found that approximately 474.9 grams of gold were handed over to Unnikrishnan Potty.
