Kochi: Two persons were sentenced to Life Imprisonment by a court in Palakkad in connection with honour killing at Thenkurissi, media reports said
The Additional Sessions Court I awarded the sentence to Suresh and Prabhu Kumar for murdering 27-year-old Aneesh on December 25 in 2020.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on them. The court had convicted the two on Friday. Aneesh was stabbed to death by Prabhu Kumar 90 days afte Aneesh married his daughter Haritha belonging to the rich upper-caste.
Aneesh’s brother, Arun, who was a witness to the murder, testifiedr against Kumar and her uncle Suresh.
Aneesh and Haritha were in relationship since their school years.
