Kochi: In a interim relief to actor Siddique, the Supreme Court today prevented
the arrest of the actor for two weeks after which the Apex Court
will hear his plea for interim bail, media reports said.
The court considered the accused’s argument of the victim
waiting for long period to lodge the complaint.
The court also asked about the delay made by the state
government in publishing the Justice Hema Committee report
which submitted the report in 2019.
The actor had moved the Apex Court after the Kerala High Court rejected his
anticipatory bail plea in an alleged sexual abuse case.
