Kochi: Four Sabarimala pilgrims were killed and seven injured in a road accident near the Kora region close to the Vasanthanarasapura Industrial Area in Karnataka’s Tumakuru district on Friday, media reports said.
Eleven pilgrims, including a six year old girl, died when their vehicle collided with a stationary vehicle.
They were returning home after visiting the hill shrine of Sabarimala in Kerala.
The deceased were identified as Sakshi, 6, Venkateshappa, 30, Marathappa, 35, and Gavisiddappa, 40.
Two of the injured were in critical condition. Sakshi was studying in Class 1. This was her second trip to Sabarimala. All the deceased hailed from Kukanuru in Koppal district.
