Kochi: The five-day gala event of Dasara from October 6 in Mysuru is going to be held on a different note and format this time.The authorities have decided to hold Yuva Dasara at a different 100-acre land near Uttanahalli Road off Mysuru-Nanjangud Roadto deal with the huge turn out.
The venue can accommodate about one lakh people The location is about nine kms from the KSRTC bus stand. The organisers are expecting about one lakh daily footfalls during the five-day event. Melody kings Ilayaraja, A R Rahman, singer Shreya Ghosal, rapper Badshah, music composer Ravi Basrur of KGF-fame are likely to present stage shows.
The ticket cost for the VIP gallery is Rs 5,000 for a single day event. About 10,000 tickets will be sold online.
The prime event Yuva Dasara is estimated to cost around Rs. 14 crore. Open Air Theatre in Manasagangothri was the venue until last year. Maharaja’s College Grounds on Krishnaraja Boulevard was the venue before it.
