Kochi: In a new twist to the death case of a senior government official Naveen Babu, his family has moved Kerala High Court seeking a CBI probe into his death.
Late Naveen’s wife Manjusha, a senior government official, has approached the court expressing fear that her husband was hanged to death by his enemies.
She accused Kerala police of carrying out an investigation which was helping those who were against Naveen Babu who was Additional District Magistrate.
Former Kannur district Panchayat President and CPM leader P P Divya, who is accused in the case, is on bail.
She is accused of humiliating Naveen during his farewell function which she had attended uninvited. Naveen Babu was found dead in his official quarters on October 15, 2024.
The petitioner said that there was no progress in the police investigation.
