Kochi: A total of 119 illegal immigrants are likely to land at Amritsar airport on Saturday night, media reports said.
This is the second batch of Indians deported by the Trump government as part of a crackdown on illegal immigrants.
The plane is expected to land at the airport around 10 pm on Saturday.
Out of 119, 67 are from Punjab, 33 from Haryana, eight from Gujarat, three from Uttar Pradesh, two each from Goa, Maharashtra and Rajasthan and one each from Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, the reports said.
Another US plane carrying deportees is also expected to land on February 16.
The first batch of 104 illegal immigrants were transported by a military aircraft which landed at the Amritsar airport last week.
The US enforcement agencies have launched a crackdown against illegal immigrants after Donald Trump took over as the President.
The police have registered 10 FIRs against fraudulent immigration consultants on the statements of deportees, the reports said.
