Kochi: A 16-year-old tenth standard student died after not responding to treatment to the injuries sustained during a clash between two groups of students in Kozhikode in North Kerala, media reports said.
The deceased, Mohammed Shahabas of M J Higher Secondary School, in Elettil, was admitted to Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode after his condition worsened after the clash on Thursday.
The fight took place between students of Thamarassery Government Higher Secondary School and MJ Higher Secondary School on an issue linked to a farewell party at a tuition center on Sunday.
After the clash, Shahabas reached home in an exhausted condition even as there were no signs of external injuries.
Later, he became sick and became unconscious. He was rushed to Thamarassery Taluk Hospital where doctors referred the case to Kozhikode Medical college.
