Kerala gets Rs 153.20 cr as flood relief

Kochi: Kerala will receive Rs 153.20 crore out of Rs 1,066.80 sanctioned by Kerala to flood affected states, media reports said.
Assam will get Rs 375.60 crore, Manipur Rs 29.20 crore, Meghalaya Rs 30.40 crore, Mizoram Rs 22.80 crore and Uttarakhand Rs 455.60 crore.
The Home Ministry said the government is fully committed to provide all possible assistance to flood, landslides, cloudburst-affected states.
The Centre has released over Rs 6,0166 crore from the State Disaster Response Fund to 14 States and over one thousand 988 crore from National Disaster Mitigation Fund to 12 States.
Over Rs 726 crore was released from the State Disaster Mitigation Fund to five States.
The government has also provided all logistic assistance, including deployment of requisite NDRF teams, Army teams and Air Force support to all the flood, landslides, cloudburst affected States. During the ongoing monsoon, 104 teams of NDRF are deployed in the 21 States and Union Territories for rescue and relief operations.
