Kochi: Kerala will see massive revision in voters’ list before going to vote for a new government in May 2026 while the state had seen such an exercise in 2002, Manorama reported.
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) had led to protests and legal tangles in Bihar where the last SIR was done in 2003.
The Election Commission is planning to carry out SIR in the state in October.
The ECI reviewed the preparations made by the states and UTs on September 10.
The Special Summary Revision (SSR) is done four times a year.
