Kochi:After a comprehensive review,
the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Tuesday gave a clean chit to Air India’s Boeing 787 fleet.
The DGCA confirmed that Air India’s Boeing 787 fleet meets current safety standards.
After scrutinizing 24 wide-body aircraft for enhanced safety checks, the DGCA found the aircraft compliant in both aircraft condition and associated maintenance systems.
“ The aircraft and associated maintenance systems were found to be compliant with existing safety standards,” DGCA said in a statement.
The DGCA did not detected any lapses after anaysing operational data, DGCA said in a statement.
The regulator did flag concerns regarding recent maintenance-related issues.
The DGCA directed Air India to improve internal coordination among its engineering, operations and ground teams and to ensure sufficient spare parts availability.
