Kochi: Sabarimala gold robbery case prime accused Unnikrishnan Potti was today remanded by a court in Pathanamthitta, media reports said.
Potti was produced before the Court in Ranni after 14 days of his police custody ended today.
The court had sent Potti to 14 days police custody in connection with the robbery of gold cladded artefacts in the hill shrine.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case is likely to soon seek his police custody in connection with the robbery of gold panels door frame.
The SIT is going to act against the Travancore Devaswom Board officials who have failed to produce the relevant documents sought by the SIT regarding the gold cladding done by Businessman Vijay Mallya in 1999.
Suspended TDB official Murari Babu is the other accused being questioned by the SIT.
There are three different FIRs registered in connection with the robbery.
