Kochi: In an embarrassment to the ruling LDF, the Opposition Leader V D Satheesan of Congress on Friday hailed rebel CPM leader and former PWD Minister G Sudhakaran at an award function at Thiruvananthapuram, Asianet News reported.
Satheesan said he has not seen a PWD Minister like Sudhakaran.
Honouring Sudhakaran with the late RSP leader J Chandrachoodan award,
Satheesan said that Sudhakaran was a true communist.
Satheesan said that there is not a leader like Sudhakaran.
In his speech, Sudhakaran described Satheesan as an outstanding Opposition leader.
Sudhakaran asked what is the problem in attending a seminar organised by the Congress.
CPM’s main force was party members and not the cyber army who can be dealt with by keeping shut the comment box.
Sudhakaran cautioned the presence of BJP which will impact both the CPM and Congress fronts.
Sudhakaran was once targeted by the party for speaking in favour of Satheesan sometime back.
With regards to some CPM leaders branding Sudhakaran a BJP man, Sudhakaran said that if he wanted to migrate to any party, he would do it in a dignified manner.
Sudhakaran is constantly facing cyber attack due to factionalism in CPM in Alappuzha. Sudhakaran had accused CPM leader and Cultural Minister Saji Cherian of spreading baseless stories of his plans to join BJP.
