Kochi: Thiruvananthapuram District Congress Committee president Palode Ravi stepped down after the leak of his conversation undermining the prospects of Congress in the coming assembly election, media reports said.
The Congress also expelled A Jaleel from the party’s primary membership for anti party activities.
Jaleel had recorded and leaked the phone conversation with Palode Ravi who is heard predicting a third term for the LDF in the assembly election.
He also predicted the Congress facing setbacks in the local body elections.
He predicted further decline of the Congress in Kerala.
Following the leak, Ravi dismissed the controversial audio clip attributed to him as merely a cautionary message intended for a Congress worker.
