Kochi: Passengers onboard two boats of Kochi Water Metro had a providential escape on Kochi Backwaters after the two vessels collided at Fort Kochi on Sunday, media reports said.
The passengers went into panic as both the boats lost stability due to the impact of the collision at about 2.30 pm.
One boat arriving from the High Court side collided with its pairing boat which was departing to High Court Jetty.
There were no reports of any casualty. Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) described it as a minor incident.
