Kochi: Sexual abuse accused Congress leader Rahul Mamkootathil, MLA, was expelled from the primary membership of the party.
This was announced by KPCC President Sunny Joseph.
Rahul was under disciplinary action since August 25 after the first sexual abuse was registered against him.
There are multiple cases against the former state Youth Congress chief who was at large since the police registered a sexual abuse case against him.
The Kerala court dismissed his anticipatory bail plea in the first rape case.
A second rape case was lodged by a 23-year-old woman.
Mamkootathil was elected as MLA in November last year in a by-election from Palakkad seat.
