Kochi: Kerala government today announced Mammootty as the best actor for his role in ‘Bramayugam’ while Shamla Hamza Best Actress.
The winners of the 55th Kerala State Film Awards 2025 were announced by Fisheries, Culture, and Youth Welfare Minister Saji Cherian in Thrissur.
Nominations were submitted for a total of 128 films out of which 26 were shortlisted for the final round by the 7-member selection committee led by veteran actor Prakash Raj.
‘Manjummel Boys’ was spotted as Best Film, Chidambaram S Poduval (‘Manjummel Boys’) Best Director, Soubin Shahir (‘Manjummel Boys’) and Sidharth Bharathan (‘Bramayugam’) Best Character Artist (Male) –Lijomol Jose (‘Nadanna Sambhavam’) Best Character Artist (Female) Chidambaram S Poduval (‘Manjummel Boys’) Best Screenplay.
