Kochi: A 12-year-old school girl, who went missing for about six hours, returned home at Elamakkara after a youth timely spotted her at about midnight in Ernakulam on Tuesday night.
Njarakkal native George and his friend were returning home when they saw the girl moving on her cycle in a suspicious manner.
As George was aware of the disappearance of a school girl, George stopped her and asked about her whereabouts when she started crying and told him about the school authorities seizing her mobile phone belonging to her mother.
George alerted Mulavukkad police, after which the police teams, searching for her, reached the spot and informed her parents who took her back home.
The Elamakkara police station was informed about the missing of the girl from
Saraswathi Vidyaniketan.
Police and her parents went in search of the girl who was seen passing through Pachalam in Cctv visuals.
