Kochi: St George Higher Secondary School, Kallanickkal, Thodupuzha, won the second MP Cup senior school level football tournament, at Vengaloor today.
They defeated St George Higher Secondary School, Muthalakodam, 3-0 in the finals held at Thodupuzha Soccer School ((TSS).
The event was organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) in association with Thodupuzha Soccer School (TSS) to create awareness against drugs among school students.
The valedictory function organised was inaugurated by Dean Kuriakose, MP, at Thodupuzha.
NYK district officer Sachin C presided, while TSS director P A Saleemkutty delivered the welcome address.
Coach Amal V R gave a vote of thanks.
Fourteen teams took part in the event.
The winners goy Rs 10,000 while the runner up Rs 5000 and certificates.
