Kochi: Old government structures in Kerala continue to cave in with the latest being one at a school in Alappuzha on a holiday on Sunday due to which there were no students, Asianet News reported.
A portion of the over century old school slumped even as there were no students in the school due to holiday.
The school was functioning in the old building even as the new unit built with funds under KIIFBI remained stuck due to technical issues.
A few days back a woman died after a very old building in Kottayam Medical College College collapsed.
As many as 225 buildings across 135 hospitals in the state are at risk of collapse.
There are hundreds of buildings housing government offices which have lived out their lives.
As many as 41 buildings have to be demolished in Kottayam alone, according to the Health department figures.
