Kochi: CPM leader and former Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) president A Padmakumar was Thursday arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with the Sabarimala temple gold robbery case in Kerala, media reports said.
Earlier, the ex MLA appeared before the SIT for questioning in the case.
The Sabarimala temple gold robbery case happened in connivance with a so called sponsor Unnikrishnan Potti when he was the TDB president in 2019.
Another accused and former TDB official N Vasu was sent to SIT custody by a Vigilance Court in Kollam.
The SIT has arrested five including prime accused Potti and Vasu in the case.
