Kochi: Pakistani army rescued 300 passengers of the Jaffar Express which was seized by Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA)on Tuesday, media reports said.
A total of 33 militants and 21 hostages were killed in the incident.
BLA killed 50 security personnel and took 214 people hostage, including passengers and active-duty personnel.
BLA issued a 48 hours ultimatum to release Baloch political prisoners, activists and missing persons abducted by Pakistan.
The train was traveling from Quetta to Peshawar, when it got trapped in a tunnel and gunmen opened fire, killing the train driver.
