Kochi: Pakistani citizens leaving India were prevented from entering their homeland as Islamabad refused to open its gates at the Attari-Wagah border on Thursday, media reports said.
India had ordered all Pakistani nationals on short-term visas to leave the country after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack killing 26 people.
A total of 911 Pakistani nationals left the country via the Attari-Wagah border on Wednesday.
A total of 152 Indian nationals and 73 Pakistani nationals with long-term Indian visas entered the country through the Amritsar border, raising the respective totals to 1,617 and 224.
