Kochi: Two earthquakes of magnitudes 7.7 and 6.4 hit Myanmar on Friday, media reports said.
Bangkok in Thailand experienced strong tremors. A high-rise building in Chatuchak district was razed to the ground.
Strong aftershocks were also felt in Meghalaya and several northeastern states, Bangladesh, and China’s southwest Yunnan province.
Two labourers were killed and 30 others are still trapped in Thailand.
Three people died after a mosque partially collapsed in Myanmar. Ava Bridge in Mandalay Myanmar collapsed.
Several roads also developed cracks in the capital Naypyidaw.
