Kochi: A railway ticket examiner Akhil Joseph, 35, was arrested with 2.63gm of MDMA and 3.76 gm of hashish oil on Wednesday, Manorama reports said.
Residing at Edappally in Ernakulam,
Joseph was arrested near Bolgatty Palace by the District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (DANSAF) led by ACP K A Abdul Salam.
Akhil was under the anti-narcotics cell’s radar for the past eight months after a complaint was registered against him on the police’s Yodhav alert number.
Akhil got an appointment after the demise of
his father who died in harness. He is suspected to be a major drug peddler in the city.
