Kochi: The Special Investigation Team recovered old Vajivahanam of Sabarimala from Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru’s house in Chengannur and was produced before Kollam Vigilance Court on Tuesday, Kerala Kaumudi reported.
The Vajivahanam was recovered by the SIT during a raid at the Tantri’s house the other day.
The Vajivahanam is in the sculpture of a horse, which is considered to be the transport of Lord Ayyappa, the presiding deity of Sabarimala hill shrine.
Vajivahanam was with Tantri’ since 2017 after some modification took place.
The then Devaswom Board handed it over to the Tantri.
The Kollam Vigilance Court has also granted permission to the SIT to record the arrest of Kandararu Rajeevaru in a second case related to theft of gold.
