Kochi: Three Opposition MLAs, Roji M John, M Vincent and Saneesh Kumar Joseph, were suspended from Kerala Assembly citing violations of House rules, India Today reported.
The suspension motion was moved by Parliamentary Affairs Minister M B Rajesh.
The motion was passed in the absence of the Congress-led Opposition, which boycotted the proceedings accusing ruling CPM of misappropriation of gold from Sabarimala temple.
The MLAs were accused of attacking the Chief Marshall inside the Assembly. The injured official was admitted to a medical college for treatment.
On Wednesday, UDF members protested seeking the resignation of Devaswom Minister V N Vasavan over the gold missing case.
Watch-and-ward personnel blocked them, leading to a scuffle, and the MLAs later boycotted the proceedings.
