Kochi: Actress Kasthuri was arrested in Hyderabad tonight in connection with her alleged hate speech made on November 3, media reports said.
Tamil Nadu police arrested her after the Madras High Court rejected her anticipatory bail in connection with the case.
Complaints were lodged against her in several districts, taking exception to the derogatory remarks, the reports said.
The actress went innuendo after the court refused her plea. She used social media to express regret over the speech claiming that her speech was misinterpreted due to political reasons.
