Kochi: Former Kerala Chief Minister and one of the founders of CPM, V S Achuthanandan, 101, is in extremely critical condition Tuesday, media reports said.
However, Achuthanandan, who was admitted to the intensive care unit of SUT Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram after suffering a heart attack a few days back, is responding to medications.
A critical care team is monitoring his condition. A seven-member experts’ team from the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital, is also checking him. The team recommended continuing with ventilator support, antibiotic treatment and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy. The CPM general secretary M A Baby visited the former Chief Minister.
