Kochi: A breach in Kerala Water Authority’s storage tank at Thamanam has badly hit people in the port city of Kochi.
The 1.35 crore litres tank burst around 3 am on Sunday inundating many houses in the vicinity.
District Collector Priyanka G has assured that the Kerala Water Authority (KWA) will study the damage suffered by the people.
KWA officials said that water supply will be continued from the other section which was not hit by the breach.
Officials estimated that around 30% of the city’s drinking water supply would be affected.
