Kochi: Tamil Nadu Minister K Ponmudy and wife Visalatchi were convicted by the Madras High Court in a disproportionate assets case, media reports said.
The court directed them to appear before the court on or before December 21 to hear him out and decide on the duration of jail term. A special court had acquitted him a few years back against which the government had moved the court. According to the prosecution, Ponmudy had amassed ₹1.79 crore without any source between April 13, 2006, and March 31, 2010.
