Kochi: After a comprehensive review,
Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has given a clean chit to Air India’s Boeing 787 fleet to air operations safety, media reports said.
The DGCA confirmation comes after scrutinizing 24 wide-body aircraft for enhanced safety checks. It found the aircraft compliant in aircraft condition and associated maintenance systems.
The DGCA did not detect any lapses after anaysing operational data, DGCA said in a statement.
However, the regulator raised concerns over recent maintenance-related issues and directed Air India to improve internal coordination among its engineering, operations and ground teams and to ensure sufficient spare parts availability.
