Kochi: After over 70 days’ wait, a portion of the truck and a body, believed to be that of its driver Arjun, were recovered from Gangavali river on Wednesday, media reports said.Manaf, who owned the truck, confirmed that the cabin retrieved from the river was part of his truck, the reports said. Authorities will conduct a DNA test to confirm the identity, the reports said.
Arjun was part of a few others who had disappeared after a massive landslide in Ankola’s Shirur, Karnataka, on July 16.Scuba diver Eshwar Malpe had taken keen interest in the search operations, the reports said.
