Kochi: CPM backed MLA P V Anvar today cautioned CPM to make corrections before it becomes extinct in the state.Addressing a press conference at Nilambur in Malappuram, Anvar said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijaya was a failure as Home Minister and sought his resignation. Anvar said his suggestions to stop illegal activities like gold smuggling were dumped by Pinarayi Vijayan. He expressed anguish over improper functioning of Chief Minister’s political secretary P Sasi and government not acting seriously against illegal activities like gold smuggling and bossism of certain leaders.Anvar expressed concern over the Chief Minister giving clean chits to Sasi and ADGP (Law & Order) M R Ajith Kumar facing allegations.
Anvar flayed the party for turning a blind eye on matters that were affecting the party’s reputation.Anwar warned if things continued like this, Pinarayi’s name would go in the pages of history as the last communist Chief Minister of the state. Anvar, who is also a businessman, is involved in many controversies like land encroachment and illegal constructions.
