Kochi: NIA conducted more raids against Popular Front across the country detaining several activists and leaders today, media reports said.
This is the second phase of operation against the outfit in eight states from where a large number of leaders, activists and sympathisers were reportedly taken into custody.
Unconfirmed reports claimed that at least 200 persons were detained during the raids, which were mainly conducted by the police in different states like Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan.
The raids were carried out on the basis of information collected from those arrested during the NIA raids conducted a few days back.
Large number of arrests have been reported from Karnataka. Incriminating documents, computers, mobile phones, laptops were among those seized during the raids.
