Kochi: Auto driver Anoop, 30, won the Rs 25 crore bumper promoted by Kerala government in connection with the Onam festival.
Anoop bought the lottery last night from Bhagavati Lottery Agency, Pazhavangadi,
run by his relative. A native of Sreevaraham in Thiruvananthapuram, Anoop will get Rs 15.75 crore after all deductions.
Anoop was planning to go to Malaysia to work as chef. Anoop said he could not buy the raffle earlier due to shortage of money. He managed to get sufficient money of Rs 500 to buy it yesterday. He said his wife was against buying raffles.
