Bombers target Pak

Kochi: Pakistan’s Federal Constabulary (FC) was hit by three suicide bombers in Peshawar killing three and injuring many others on Monday, media reports said.
The attack on Pakistan’s para military force took place early on Monday.
One bomber detonated at the gate killing three security staff while two others were shot dead when they tried to enter forcefully.
The main office of the force is located in a densely populated area of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
A spokesman for the hospital told Dawn that all those wounded were in stable condition. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The Pakistan Taliban or Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, have been blamed for similar assaults in the country. Only two weeks ago a suicide bomber struck outside a court in Islamabad, killing 12 people.
Pakistan has accused the Pakistan Taliban of operating freely inside Afghanistan since the Taliban takeover in 2021.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack in Peshawar and praised the security forces for their “timely” response.
