Kochi: Five persons were arrested for allegedly breaching Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s security in Kozhikode on Sunday night, media reports said.
The Nadakkavu police arrested them for allegedly following the Chief Minister’s convoy in a private vehicle without a number plate from Kannur and West Hill in Kozhikode district.
The incident took place around 10 pm when Vijayan was travelling from Kannur to the Kozhikode Government guest house.
Those arrested were identified as Naseeb, Jyothibasu, Mohammed Fariz, Faizal and Abdul Wahid. They were later granted bail.
Police sources said the arrested were natives of Malappuram and Palakkad districts.
