Kochi:Shooter Manu Bhaker, youngest world chess champion D Gukesh, hockey star Harmanpreet Singh, and para-athlete Praveen Kumar will be honoured with Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award.
The names of the National Sports Awards 2024 was announced by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
The President will honour them with the prestigious award on January 17, 2025, at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Gukesh won the World Chess Champion in Singapore in December. Bhaker had won two bronze medals at the Paris Olympics.
Harmanpreet presented India with a bronze medal in men’s hockey at the Olympics.
Praveen had won gold in men’s high jump T64 discipline at the Paris Paralympics.
