Kochi: Hundreds of students held protests in the campus of the Sharif University of Technology in Iran at the start of a new semester on Saturday, BBC reported.
They chanted “death to the dictator” in an apparent reference to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei – and other anti-government slogans, BBC said.
Iran security forces crushed down fierce protests by students in a deadly manner last month.
A sit-in was held at another university and a rally was reported in the north-east. Students honoured thousands of those killed in mass protests in January.

Hrana also said it was investigating 17,000 more reported deaths.
