Kochi: Kerala Police’s inaction against law breakers has given free hand to a criminal private bus worker to stop a car and abuse the occupants in Kochi the other day.
Mohammed Ansar who was arrested for waylaying the car in the heart of the city in Kaloor on August 9 attacked Police while trying to arrest the criminal.
Ansar, against whom a similar complaint was launched by another person on August 22 at Padivattom in the city, was allowed to walk away by imposing a small fine by the police, Asianet news reported, Asianet news reported.
Hailing from Kannur, Ansar is a habitual offender involved in robbery and other criminal activities.
Ironically, police have failed to implement the order of the High Court of Kerala against using air horns in the city.
