Kochi: A court in Ernakulam refused to grant bail to teenager Suhail Sajeev who crashed against three youth travelling on a two wheeler on October 11 at Nedumbassery after consuming alcohol beyond permissible limits.
The Angamaly Judicial Magistrate Court gave the ruling after her the bail plea for two days.
Suhail, Ninav, Ameer and Joe were arrested for crushing to death three youths going on a two wheeler at Nedumbassery.
The accused’s blood sample showed it contained alcohol five times the legal limit, according to his blood test report, police said on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Devika, 21, Gopika, 22, and Ijaz, 21 of Karnataka, Asianet news reported.
Suhail and others were travelling at over 120 kms speed in the Mini Cooper car presented to him by his mother this year for his birthday.
The Excise department has launched an inquiry against the three bars for serving alcohol to underaged Suhail and Ninav.
