Kochi: Once known for having surplus power, Congress-led government in Kerala is facing huge electricity deficit leading to power outage between 6 pm and midnight on September 7.
This has put the Congress-led UDF in huge embarrassment within three months after coming to power after defeating Left government which ruled for a decade without any power cut.
Reduced power availability through the national power exchange has put
as the Kerala State Electricity Board in trouble due to rising electricity demand.
Increased electricity demand in the country has reduced the availability of power through the national power exchange. KSEB has warned of power restrictions in the 6 pm–midnight period.
