Kochi: The fortnight long cleanliness drive held under Swachata Hi Seva campaign culminated on Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary at Thodupuzha in Idukki today.
The event was inaugurated by Dean Kuriakose, MP.
Various outfits including NSS unit ofAl Azhar college, Thodupuzha Soccer School (TSS), My Bharath volunteers, scouts and guides were among those who took part in the cleaning campaign that was held at Vengaloor junction.

Nehru Yuva Kendra district youth officer Sachin H, Panchayat member Sunil, Al Azhar NSS programme officer Sunil, Al Azhar NSS programme officer Simon Babu, Merlin Alex, faculty in tourism department, Al Azhar college were felicitated.
The campaign started on September 17.
Public places, heritage sites, tourist spots,
Water bodies were areas where the campaign was held.
The programme started after the Prime Minister exhorted the people to give priority to cleanliness in 2014.
