Kochi: Former Jammu and Kashmir (Union Territory) Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s National Conference has said that his party will fight polls in the Union Territory independently, media reports said.Congratulating the BJP-led alliance over winning polls in three out of the four states, Abdullah said that the Congress had failed terribly, though it did well in Telangana, the reports said.
Expressing doubt over the future of the I.N.D.I.A alliance, Abdullah wondered the logic of Congress denying tickets to Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav in Madhya Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the leaders of the opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc will meet at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence in Delhi on December 6 to chalk out a strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.Several parties have joined hands to form I.N.D.I.A bloc to take on the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections.
