Congress in soup in Kerala

Kochi: The Congress in Kerala has landed in soup after letters purportedly written by late Congress leader N M Vijayan accusing many party leaders of involvement in financial irregularities, media reports said.
Vijayan, who was Wayanad District Congress Committee (DCC), treasurer,
has blamed party MLA I C Balakrishnan, DCC president N D Appachan and some other party leaders for being involved in corruption.
Vijayan and his son Jijesh (38), a former employee of the Sulthan Bathery Urban Cooperative Bank, were found dead and were alleged to have committed suicide, on December 27.
The letters, which have been released by the family, accused the MLA of taking bribes for offering jobs at the Congress-controlled cooperative bank in his constituency. The letter alleged Vijayan had incurred a huge debt due to the financial transactions with the Congress leaders.
The father and son were found in a critical condition at their residence on December 24 and were shifted to the Government Medical College Hospital in Kozhikode, where they breathed their last.
Before his death, Vijayan had written six letters, one letter was addressed to his other son Vijesh, the other was addressed to several Congress leaders including Wayanad Priyanka Gandhi, MP, former Wayanad Rahul Gandhi, MP, Kerala Opposition Leader V D Satheesan, KPCC president K Sudhakaran and the police.
He had also asked his elder son to wait for the party to take action before making the letter public, the reports said.
