Kochi: Two doctors in Pune were arrested for allegedly manipulating the blood sample of a teenager who is accused of driving the Porsche car allegedly killing two persons the other day in Pune, media reports quoting Pune Police commissioner Amitesh Kumar said.
Dr Ajay Taware, head of the forensics department and Dr Shrihari Harnor were those arrested.
Two personnel of Yerwada police station were suspended for dereliction of duty.
They are accused of not subjecting the teenager for a medical examination.Two young IT professionals were killed when the car allegedly driven by the minor in the early hours of May 19 collided with them. The police claimed that the teenager was drunk at the time of the accident.Â
The teenager was sent to an observation home till June 5. The Police have arrested the teenager’s father, real estate businessman Vishal Agarwal, and grandfather Surendra Agarwal for trying to persuade their driver to own up responsibility for the accident.
