Kochi: In a major boost to the prosecution, the Kerala High Court has allowed examination of five additional witnesses in the actor abuse case in which actor Dileep is an accused.
However, the court rejected prosecution’s plea
to reexamine a few witnesses.
The High Court also directed the Director General of Prosecution to appoint a special prosecutor at the earliest.
Two prosecutors had resigned in the case pertaining to the abduction and abuse of an actor in a vehicle on February 17, 2017. Dileep was in jail for three months in the case.
Meanwhile, Dileep moved the Kerala High Court restraining the media reporting stories about the case until the trial is over.
