Dhankar quits as VP

Kochi: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday resigned from his post due to health issues.
In his resignation letter, he said the decision was taken to “prioritise health care”.
To prioritise health care and abide by medical advice, I hereby resign as the Vice-President of India, effective immediately, in accordance with Article 67(a) of the Constitution,” Dhankhar wrote in a letter addressed to President Droupadi Murmu.
Dhankhar expressed gratitude to the President for her “unwavering support” and described their working relationship as “soothing and wonderful.” He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the council of ministers for their cooperation, calling the Prime Minister’s support “invaluable.”
